Your gums shouldn't bleed when you brush or floss.

If you don’t floss regularly, when you do there’s a chance you may see a little bit of bleeding around your gums. Irregular flossing habits can lead to gum disease and recession, as well as quite a bit of plaque around the gumline of your teeth. Bad breath can also be an indication of your gum health. Bacteria can grow between your teeth and gums, leading to an infection that can contribute to an unpleasant odor.

We strongly recommend flossing each day to keep your gums healthy, along with your regular brushing at both morning and night time.

If you feel like you may have an issue with your gums or would like to have them assessed by one of our practitioners, contact our practice to schedule an appointment.
